The beginning of the workshop will include an interactive discussion to introduce not only the importance and general concepts of a resume, but will debunk myths that many people have about resumes, such as what kind of activities can and cannot go on a resume. There will be a demonstration of how a resume can improve over the years. We will discuss common sections that most resumes have as well as unique sections that may make sense for certain individuals. Finally, an interactive activity will be given via a Google Doc link, in which students will receive a fake resume with mistakes in it. Students will have to explain why these mistakes are not acceptable. Once this discussion is finished, students will receive a final link to the same but fully correct resume template that they can save as a copy to their own drives and use as they develop their own resume and experiences.

This workshop is geared towards students new to RSJ and WPY.
